MARCELO DI BENEDETTO, NEW VICE PRESIDENT CHEP AUTOMOTIVE FOR EUROPE, MIDDLE EAST AND AFRICA

10 September 2010 - Marcelo Di Benedetto (38) has been named Vice President CHEP Automotive for Europe, Middle East and Africa. In his new role, Di Benedetto will take charge of CHEP's automotive business to further improve service, develop new solutions and position CHEP for the future automotive supply chain needs. Says Di Benedetto: "I count on the unparalleled support of a great team, committed to delivering better solutions to our customers with enthusiasm and passion."

Di Benedetto brings a broad background in Sales & Customer Service, Finance and Supply Chain from industry and consulting sectors. Having joined CHEP in 2003, he held management responsibilities in Finance, Supply Chain and, most recently, as European Director for Quality & Sourcing where he was responsible for the supply of finished products, services and materials into the CHEP network, assurance of quality processes and management of relationships with key suppliers and external stakeholders.

Prior to joining CHEP, Di Benedetto was Managing Partner of Logic Consulting in South America, an organization focused on cost optimization solutions for blue-chip companies. From 1992 to 1997, Di Benedetto worked at Colgate Palmolive in Argentina, where he led a regional Sales team and rose to Head of Customer Service. Di Benedetto holds an MBA from the INSEAD Business School and a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Economics. In his new function, he succeeds Rainer Sandow, who departed from CHEP on 31 July 2010.
