NOD32 Antivirus Business Edition Wins for Second Consecutive Year
Bratislava – ESET, the leader in proactive protection celebrating 25 years of its technology this year, today announced that ESET NOD32 Antivirus 4 Business Edition has won the Gold Award for the Best of Endpoint Security 2012 category from TechTarget’s Information Security magazine’s Readers’ Choice Awards. Winning for two years running, ESET pulled ahead from the competitive offerings of Kaspersky and Sophos with notably higher scores in several categories.
Readers called out ESET Endpoint Antivirus’ ability to detect and block unknown malware and zero-day exploits, the frequency and speed of signature updates, and the overall return on investment (ROI). Readers also noted that ESET’s offering was bloat-free and easy on system resources, had a small footprint, and runs invisibly. Furthermore, it was pointed out that the OS X version of the software runs well on Macs. ESET NOD32 is the only anti-malware solution certified by ICSA Labs for both Mac and Windows.
“Our readers are the most knowledgeable and active technology professionals working in IT today. Their ratings reflect extensive technical experience and practical application of the products,” said Doug Olender, TechTarget vice president and publisher of security media. “These awards are designed to help serious technology buyers understand the products available to solve their IT security challenges.”
ESET Endpoint Antivirus is a complete security solution, with versions compatible with Windows and Mac, combining maximum protection with a minimal system footprint. Utilizing ESET’s ThreatSense® scanning engine, which is constantly on alert for attacks and malicious software, ESET Endpoint Antivirus keeps computers safe from outside threats without hindering system performance.
“We would like to thank the readers of Information Security for recognizing ESET Endpoint Antivirus as the best overall solution for Endpoint Security and honoring us with the Gold award,” said Richard Marko, Chief Executive Officer of ESET. “Our international team of researchers and developers work around the clock to make the world of technology a safer place and recognition like this is greatly appreciated by everyone within our company.”
